The Great Pyramid of Cholula
What do you think about this? In Cholula, Mexico there is a hill with a pretty yellow church on top. It is the largest pyramid ever built, bigger by volume than Giza, swallowed by grass until it looked like ordinary ground. Lost knowledge, deliberate burial, or just time?

Poveglia Island
What do you think about this? A short boat ride from Venice sits Poveglia, an island so tied to plague dead and a shuttered asylum that it has been closed to visitors for decades. Fishermen steer around it. Grim history and imagination, or ground that holds onto something?

Shag Harbour
What do you think about this? In October 1967 villagers in Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia watched an object with four lights drop into the water. The Navy sent divers for days and found only yellow foam. Canada’s own files still list it as unidentified. A meteor, or something else?

SS Central America
What do you think about this? In 1857 the SS Central America went down in a hurricane with tons of California gold in her hold. She was found in 1988, then the man who raised the gold vanished, and five hundred coins are still missing. Cursed ship, or a treasure never fully recovered?

The Belgian UFO Wave
What do you think about this? Over five months from late 1989, more than 13,000 people in Belgium reported a silent black triangle with three corner lights. In March 1990 two F sixteen jets locked radar on it, and it made moves no pilot could survive. Secret aircraft, or a genuine visitor?

Champ, Lake Champlain
What do you think about this? The Abenaki spoke of something in Lake Champlain long before Europeans arrived, and Port Henry still keeps a sign counting sightings. In 1977 Sandra Mansi photographed a long neck and a dark hump, and no hoax was ever found in it. Log, or a real animal?
