Emma Curtis Hopkins

Emma Curtis Hopkins was born in Connecticut in 1849 and became one of the most important spiritual teachers in America. In Chicago she founded a seminary where she ordained women as ministers, decades before most churches would.

She is called the teacher of teachers. Among her students were Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, who founded Unity, Ernest Holmes, who founded Religious Science, and Annie Rix Militz.

What This Sage Teaches Us

Hopkins taught that there is only one Mind, one Presence and one Power, and that it is wholly good. Through her twelve lessons of Scientific Christian Mental Practice she showed her students how to deny error, affirm the truth, and let the Good that is already present reveal itself in health, supply and peace.

Her light lives on in nearly every New Thought church in the world.

Reflect: What good have you been waiting for that is already yours to claim?
